Description
The Brevo API covers transactional email, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, contact lists and segments, e-commerce data, conversations, webhooks and custom events. It is a REST API on api.brevo.com.
It suits agents and workflows that send app or triggered emails and also keep a marketing contact list in the same place.
Check your plan before building. Rate limits differ by plan tier, and some limits are low for endpoints outside email sending.

Editor’s note What our review found
Editorial research, reviewed 23 Oct 2026. We read Brevo's developer docs. We did not run live calls. This listing is not an endorsement.
Cost: Brevo's pricing page shows a Free plan ("free forever, no credit card needed", up to 300 emails a day per its FAQ) and Starter from $9 a month in USD ($8.08 billed yearly). Brevo's API limits doc lists Free as an account type with General-tier rate limits, so a free account has API access at General-tier limits. The pricing page itself does not mention the API.
Credentials and data: you use an API key in the api-key header, or OAuth 2.0. Store the key in an environment variable or secret manager, never in code or a plain-text file. Contact and message data goes to Brevo, so GDPR and consent rules apply.
Good to know: rate limits are tiered. Free and Starter get the General tier. Most contact and email endpoints are generous, but all other endpoints are listed at 100 requests an hour on the General tier.
