Description
The Kit API (V4) lets you read and write subscribers, tags, broadcasts, forms and webhooks for a Kit account. It uses cursor pagination and supports bulk requests that run asynchronously.
It suits creators and small teams who want an agent to add subscribers, tag them from other tools or pull broadcast stats.
V3 still works but is deprecated and will be sunset, so build on V4.
Key endpoints
GET /v4/account: current accountGET /v4/subscribers: list subscribersPOST /v4/subscribers: create a subscriberGET /v4/broadcasts: list broadcastsGET /v4/tags: list tags
Example request
curl --request GET --url https://api.kit.com/v4/account --header "X-Kit-Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"

Editor’s note What our review found
Editorial research, reviewed 23 Oct 2026. We read Kit's pricing page and developer docs. We did not run live calls. This listing is not an endorsement.
Cost: Kit has a Free plan for up to 10,000 subscribers, then Creator at $33 a month and Pro at $66 a month (shown for 1,000 subscribers; Pro had a first-year discount to $50). The docs say API access depends on an eligible plan, and the pricing page text did not make the Free column clear. API access on Free is not confirmed.
Credentials and data: use an API key in the X-Kit-Api-Key header, or OAuth. Store keys in an environment variable or secret manager, never in code or a plain-text file. You handle subscriber emails, so GDPR and consent rules apply.
Good to know: API keys are limited to 120 requests per rolling 60 seconds, OAuth to 600. Bulk and some other endpoints need OAuth.
